1. Technology Development Unit

• Conducts MHP Pre-Feasibility/Feasibility Studies
• Conducts Energy Demand and Management Capability Studies
• Prepares Technical and Planning Designs of Proposed MHP Projects
• Designs and facilitates fabrication of locally available turbine an dother water flow accessories
• Ensures Availability of MHP Materials, Spare Parts and Equipment
• Supervises Actual Construction of MHP Installations
• Conducts Trainings on MHP Maintenance and Management
• Regularly Monitors MHP Installations
• Responds to Technical Problems Encountered by Communities in the Operation and Maintenance of MHP Installations
• Develops a Scheme for Technical Skills Transfer
• Develops Other End-uses of MHP Projects
• Facilitates Referrals with Other Groups/Organizations Engaged in Renewable Energy Development

2. Community Preparations and Support Services Unit

• Conducts Community Consultations Among Project Stakeholders
• Conducts Educational Activities among Community Members to Raise Awareness on MHP Model for Community Development
• Facilitates the Preparation of Community Development Plans to Maximize the Benefits of MHP
• Coordinates and Liaises with Local Government Units and Appropriate Government Agencies
• Facilitates the Organizing of Village Energy Management Committee
• Facilitates the Formulation of Appropriate Policies, Guidelines, Systems for Equitable Utilization of MHP in Coordination with Community Stakeholders
• Supports Specific Development Projects of Partner NGO/PO, such as Capability-Building Activities on Project Management, Financial Management, Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation
• Assists the Community in Developing and Implementing Plans for Watershed Rehabilitation/Protection
• Assists the Community in Developing and Implementing Plans for Economic Sustainability (i.e. MH powered agri-processing projects.)
• Assists in the Establishment and strengthening of Cooperatives that would eventually manage the MHP Facilities.
• Conducts Rapid Community Appraisals Before Actual MHP Construction

3. Research, Monitoring and Evaluation Unit

• Consolidates and Analyzes Baseline Data on Target Communities Before Actual MHP Construction
• Regularly Updates Baseline Data in all MHP Communities
• Installs an Effective Monitoring and Evaluation System to Determine the Effects/Impact of MHP Facilities
• Regularly Develops Policy Recommendations Based on Analysis of M & E Data
• Conducts an Alternative Energy Demand-Supply Study of MHP Potentials in Mindanao
• Conducts Researches on Renewable Energy in Relation to Policy Advocacy
